July 18th, 2016 - O Amor do Salvador (I Feel My Savior"s Love).

My dear family,

This week was incredible. I have felt the love of our Savior at every moment. My heart is full of gratitude and love for Jesus Christ and for the experiences I have had on my mission.

For the past few weeks I haven't had many words to say, but it's because I don't have the words to express my love for our Savior. The lyrics of a Primary song have been stuck in my head for the past few weeks, the lyrics of I feel my Saviors love...
O amor do Salvador. Eu sinto em toda parte. E sinto seu calor. A onde quer que eu vá. O amor do Salvador. Em paz me envolve a alma. E minhas orações Eu seu que ouvirá. O amor do Salvador. È minha maior benção. Ele é meu bom pastor. Nada me faltará. O amor do Salvador. Eu quero ir repartindo servindo sou feliz. Recebe mais quem dá. Ele save que o seguirei, a vida lhe darei. Pois amo o Salvador. E sei que ele me ama.

I love our Savior. I know that he atoned for my sins. He is perfect. He lives. I know that Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. President Thomas S. Monson has all the keys of the Priesthood and is the prophet today. This is the only church directed by Christ. This is His church. The Book of Mormon is true. It testifies of Christ in the most beautiful way. I know that we need to be exactly obedient to have happiness. This life is a test to prepare us to return and live with God once again. I know that miracles happen. I love my Heavenly Father. I love Jesus Christ, ele é lindo!

Thank you for all your love and support. I love you all.

July 11, 2016 - Today My Heart is Full of Gratitude!

Family!

Today I don’t have many words to express how I feel, I'm just so grateful for my life and for where I am. This week was an amazing week! I felt so loved by your letters and by the people here who took good care of me on my special day.

The week started off well at our mission conference with President Leite. The moment I saw him, I knew that I picked him to be my mission President for this short time. He and Sister Leite are inspired people. He talked a lot about 2 Nephi 32:3 and also about how everyday we need to ask God if we did our best during the day and if he accepts our offering. I learned so much at this conference.
Sister Nicoli

My Birthday was amazing! My day started off with exchanges with Sister Nicoli (the sister I trained in Iguatu). I loved spending the day working with her and seeing the progress she has made since the time I had trained her. She is such a wonderful mission. I was so happy! The next day (my birthday), I received a lot of cake! Haha. It started off at our District meeting where my district surprised me with an Orange Cake. We then worked very hard during the day and at night we went to our meeting with our ward mission leader. When we arrived at his house it was dark. I walked in and some people that I absolutely love from this ward were there singing happy birthday! We ate cake and salgados. I'm so grateful! I will never forget my 21st birthday.

The week ended very well with the baptism of Taiane. I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to be an instrument in the hands of God to help Taiane come closer to his Savior.

I have a heart full of gratitude this week. I love you all. Thank you for everything.

July 4th 2016 - Feliz 4th of July!

Familia!!!!!

FELIZ 4th of JULY!!!!! I love this day! Sister Andrews and I celebrated this day with an all you can eat churrasco at Sal e BrasaJ.

This past week was wonderful. I have never been so happy in my life. Serving with Sister Andrews has been amazing! We work so well together and we have so much fun. We also had the miracle of the baptism of Wesley, a nephew of a member.

I'm learning new things every day and I'm experiencing many things. Yesterday was such an exciting day. There is a part of our ward that is very long and so yesterday we had the first church meeting in Sabiaguaba to start a group there. I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of it. There were about 31 visitors for the first church meeting ever in this city!

Thank you for the birthday cards! I'm excited to be 21 years old! We will be having a party here in Alvorada.. a working party! Woo!

I love being a missionary. I love Jesus Christ, our Savior. I love serving him. I am so grateful to be here. Have a wonderful week!!!

June 28th, 2016 - Another Wonderful Week!

Minha familia,

Sorry that I didn’t write yesterday, we were at our last mission conference with President Fusco, so we didn’t have any time. Yesterday was such an amazing day for many reasons. 1st , It was the birthday of the most amazing lady in the world. Happy birthday MOM!!! 2nd, I felt the spirit very strongly as we learned more about our Savior. 3rd, We have a new missionary with us in our house, She is from Fortaleza and will only serve with Sister Pasqualini for a month, but she will stay in our ward so we can help them. Lastly, I learned more about how to prepare for when I get home.
Sister Andrew and I

I'm feeling so grateful today for leaders in the church and the things that they teach us. I am so grateful for President Fusco and Sister Fusco and for everything they did for me here on my mission. They have become wonderful examples to me. I'm so excited to see what will happen next with President and Sister Leite. I know that they will really help this mission.

This week was a great week. We worked very hard and our worked showed by the baptism of Gabriel. I'm so grateful for all of these young men we are finding and helping because one day all of them will be serving missions helping other people come to know Christ. I don’t have the words to express how grateful I am for the people here and for the experiences I am having. I have never been so tired in my life, but I have never been so happy. I know that serving a mission has been the best thing for me because of all I have learned.

I don’t have much to write but I would like to bare my testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He lives. He loves us. He suffered for each one of us and because of Him we can have eternal families and eternal happiness. He really is the son of God. He really did perform miracles. He really resurrected. He is real. He is perfect. He is my Savior and Redeemer and I love him with all my heart.

Thank you for everything family.
Have a wonderful week!

June 13th, 2016 - Transfers Today!

Querida familia,

What a strange feeling… only 1 transfer left. I'm trying to enjoy every second that I have here in Brasil. Today is transfer day. We still haven’t heard what officially will happen, but I have a feeling that this transfer will be amazing. I'm so grateful for this past week and what happened. Sister Bispo had her 41st birthday and her present was a baptism! Isaac, a young man, was baptized on June 9th. It was such a wonderful baptism. The Lord really is blessing us every day. Also, this week I had my mission birthday of 16 months in the field (we count by months here). I cant even believe how fast time is passing by.. I'm hoping that this next transfer slows down.

On Tuesday we had the privilege of hearing from Elder Christensen from the Seventy. This mission conference was amazing! I loved the things that I learned. They focused a lot on the Book of Mormon and how we need to use it more in our work and how we need to strengthen our testimony of the Book of Mormon. It was what his wife said that really touched me. She talked about being holiness to the Lord. The word holiness means consecrated and committed. We need to be committed to the Lord like he is committed to us. This is something that we need to do throughout our whole lives, not only as missionaries. I made goals on how I would be more committed to the Lord here on my mission and when I get home. It's so important to center our lives on Christ, it is the only way we really will be happy.

This morning I was studying about faith and read a talk by Sister Oscarson from this last General Conference. She asked a question that I ended up reflecting on for awhile during my study, she asked, “if we really believe these things”? I thought about how my whole life I have heard that this church is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and how the church was restored. These are things that I have grown up hearing, but I started to ponder if I really believed these things. As I was pondering I felt a great peace that confirmed to me that all of this is true. I really do know and believe that these things are true! I'm so grateful for the spirit and that he testifies to us of the things that are true.

I love you all.. very very much! Thank you for everything! I am so blessed!
Make this week the best week ever.. and don’t forget to center it on CHRIST.

Com amor,
Sister Unbedacht

June 6th, 2016 - Doubt Not, But Be Believing.

Hello my dear family,

This week was a very spiritual week, and I'm so grateful for everything that happened. To start off my week I got to see the first missionaries from Iguatu! When I was serving in Iguatu, there were two girls (sisters) that would always help us out. Carla and Camila are some of the first members in Iguatu and now they're ready to serve their missions. I was so happy to see them before they left for the MTC.

This week we focused a lot on the Book of Mormon. We had a goal to have a spiritual experience with the Book of Mormon during every lesson. As we used the Book of Mormon in every lesson, I could tell the spirit was stronger. President Fusco promised that if we studied and focused on the Book of Mormon this week that we would strengthen our testimony, this is what happened... On Friday morning I was studying in Mormon 8, then I stopped reading and started to ponder about the things he wrote. As I was pondering I felt something different, and I started to feel a huge love for the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It's amazing! I know that it was written for us to learn and to grow.

As I was reading this morning I came across a sentence that I absolutely love. In Mormon 9 verse 27 it says, “Doubt not, but be believing.” This is something that I was actually focusing on this week. We have been teaching Mikaely for 2 weeks, and she has been the most amazing investigator. Mikaely is a mother of a 2 year old and she is married, but her husband has been in São Paulo for a month. We met her the day that she moved to a new house in our area. I have never had an investigator that has searched as much as she has for the truth. We saw the adversary doing everything to stop her from being baptized this week. She had a lot of fear that her husband wouldn't support her and that she would be judged. We spoke a lot about having trust in the Lord and to not fear. On Sunday she was baptized. Her baptism was so amazing! As she came out of the water she was crying and she said that she received a confirmation that all of this is true. I'm so grateful for this miracle this week.

This week we also had a service project. This service project was one that entailed a lot of insects, rodents and snakes. We saw rats, spiders, cockroaches, snakes and many ants. I love being able to serve!
I hope that this week is an amazing week! Continue to read the Book of Mormon and have spiritual experiences with it EVERY DAY!

I LOVE YOU ALL!
